What the fiscal cliff looks like in reality

As a person who has mis-handled money in my lifetime, I can say that I have certainly learned my lesson! Fortunately I didn’t get too far in to get myself out nor did I have any unexpected children that would have made things more difficult. But looking at this image makes me sad that our country, which is supposed to be the greatest in the world, can’t even figure out elementary math.

I don’t mean to start a political tirade here because I know managing a country is far more complex than a typical household, but the image does present a pretty scary picture nonetheless. In my personal opinion, I feel that we’re only hanging on by a thread because of how other countries view the value of our economy. Once that charade is over, we might be in serious trouble.
